He is a talented and interesting scientist, I am going to learn a lot from him

This is a bit about the project

Research Experiences for Teachers (RET)
UCO has received additional funding from the NSF to involve a high school teacher in the REU. The program will consist of an eight-week experience that includes one week on the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) campus in Edmond, Oklahoma, to involve the science educator in a mini-course dealing with experimental design as well as to study cultural and historical aspects of the regions that will be visited during our scientific investigations. The final seven weeks of the program will be in Turkey and outlying regions (including Greece and/or Bulgaria) to pursue studies relating to the ecology, behavior, and genetics of honey bees and solitary bees. The high school instructor participant will accompany students on all segments of the program and be asked to develop a proposal for a project that involves students at his/her home institution for funding through the RET program.
