Day 6: June 9, 2011

To my friends,

I will keep it brief, very late and I am trying to organize my stuff for the long flight to Texas, England and Istanbul. We are all pretty excited and a bit overwhelmed. Are we really going tomorrow? Dr. Hranitz of Bloomsburg University discussed his work with invasive bees and plants and heat stressed proteins. I am sure I will have more to discuss about his research in the coming week. Dr. Washington a professor and head of the College of Arts and Sciences at OCU gave a very inspiring and informative talk on how to keep personal journals on the trip. She had very practical advice on the process of journal writing. I did forget to mention that the computer I am using got a virus and I had to borrow a bicycle and drive to a computer store where they took the compute for the day and fixed it by the end of the day. We ended the day with a nice Barbeque at Dr. Barthell's home and a visit to the Pop, Route 66.
